![]() Do I recommend ADOM? Hell yes!\n\nSome very minor spoilers exist below, plus a rambling anecedote about a real life survival training exercise - so, fair warning.\n\nI remember one of the first times I played ADOM I kicked a staircase in a dungeon and the whole dang thing fell down on my head, killing my pretty successful character who had gone further than other runs up to that time! I was like, what the hell was that?!? I looked it up and it is a known thing that happens rarely. I mainly bought the Steam version to support the brilliant Developer! I never sent him his postcard and for that I feel guilty - so I bought it instead, he certainly deserves the money.\n\nSo - \n\nRoguelikes like ADOM aren't necessarily about being 'fair' but instead are about risk management, survival, and learning. ![]() ![]() , "language": "english", "review": "I am writing this in response to a thoughtful but negative review by Euplatious - I tried to comment on his/her review, but this rambling mess I wrote blows the comment character length so now it shall be a review itself!\n\nAlso, note that I have minimal time in ADOM logged in Steam but I played it on and off for 3 years back before it was on Steam and beat it. ![]()
